Clubs
The Shikshiyan School aims at nurturing talent, promoting self development and creativity for holistic growth of our students. Clubs form an integral part of learning. Clubs enable the students to discover their real interests and aptitudes which guide them in selecting suitable course of study and occupation later on.
The following clubs are currently being offered to our students:
DANCE CLUB
The dance club gives the students an opportunity to learn different dance form. In the sessions, students are taught basic dance steps as well as classical moves ranging from free style, Folk, Jazz, Hip Hop to Salsa.
QUIZ CLUB
The Quiz club inculcates a passion for quizzing. The students gather and discuss vital information regarding various fields of scientific inventions, sports and education achievement etc during the sessions. The major issues of national and International importance are discussed.
MUSIC CLUB
In the music club students are introduced to difficult forms of music like Indian classical music, Rock & Roll, Jazz, Carnatic music , Folk, Hindustani Music and Pop Music.
ART & CRAFT CLUB
In the art & craft club students learn different art techniques like shading and blending of colours, scratch art. Students create amazing things using waste material like Pen holder, Photo frame, old cds. Students create different types of things using newspapers, like paper doll, flower Vase, decorative items.
INSTRUMENTAL ORCHESTRA CLUB
In this instrumental orchestra club students learn to play different types of instruments according to their interest. This club gives students the platform to show their interest and passion for music and its fusion.
YOGA AND AEROBICS
The yoga and Aerobics club promotes self discipline, peace of mind, Self care, increasing concentration level of the students. It reduces stress and anxiety, promotes mindfulness.
PAINTING CLUB
The painting club encourages the students to express their views and emotions through paintings. Students are given freedom to create their own artwork. Students learn various types of painting like-oil painting, Ink wash painting, Acrylic Painting, Glass Painting.
LITERARY CLUB
The literary club develops the literary skills of the students. The club inspires students to develop a taste for literature and also works in the direction of expanding their horizon of spoken and written language. Students learn various type of poetry writing like elegy, Haiku, Acrostic, Limerick prologue, Treasure Hunt.
COOKERY CLUB
The cookery club encourages the students to expand their cooking skills to experience a joy of cooking. It gives the students confidence and knowledge about food preparation, cooking and presenting. Students learn to prepare a variety of dishes and healthy manners.
SPORTS CLUB
The sports club provides an opportunity for students to learn skills that will help them in their future concerns. Through engagement in sport, they learn leadership teamwork, self discipline, a sense of initiative. Students enjoy various games like Cricket, Basketball, Football, Rock Skating, Table tennis, Taekwondo.
